First Aid in Workplace Policy and Procedures

First aid is the emergency care or treatment for the purpose of preserving life and
minimising the consequences of injury or sudden illness until qualified medical
assistance or emergency medical treatment is available. It also includes the
treatment of minor injuries which would otherwise receive no treatment.
