Now that you have had your first chiropractic adjustment.... what next?

You want to be well - right? Your Doctor of Chiropractic has located the spinal cause of your condition and has determined that yours is a chiropractic case.

DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH TOO SOON

If your dentist treats one tooth and tells you that you have two more that need attention, you're not going to have a healthy mouth until they are treated- the sooner, the better. Now that your Chiropractor has begun adjustments of your spine, no instant miracle will strengthen and align connective muscles and ligaments that have been in trouble for months or years. The recommended number, and frequency of adjustments, are essential if you are to regain full health.

YOU WANT MAXIMUM RESULTS IN MINIMUM TIME

Your doctor has had years of scientific training and experience in Chiropractic and is a recognized authority in this very specialized field. Your wholehearted cooperation in keeping appointments and following advice is vital if this expertise is to benefit you in the shortest time possible.

WHAT THE CHIROPRACTOR WILL DO..... AND WHY

Normal nerve and body functions are restored as a result of chiropractic correction of a faulty human mechanism, particularly the misaligned spinal column. This correction and restoration actually starts a healing process similar to that of knitting bones and healing cuts. Adjustments at the beginning of chiropractic care may necessarily be more frequent than later on. This is because spinal vertebrae will not maintain proper position after each adjustment any faster than the muscle and ligament tension can be adapted by the body. Isn't it logical, then, that the patient who receives the recommended number of adjustments, and gets them regularly, will recover much faster than the one who may have had more adjustments - but irregularly?
